Alongside the designs you see in the collection, I also work directly with couples worldwide to create custom hand-painted Ketubahs that are personal and unique works of art.

Custom ketubah pricing starts at 7000NIS (approx $1,990) for classic designs such as floral wreaths, which includes everything from design planning to express shipping, and goes up from there based on design complexity and size.

You can view past custom ketubah designs at the end of this page!

01.

Step 1 - The Concept

It all starts with an email from you to me.

This opening email should include your names and wedding date, and most importantly:

your inspiration and ideas.

Please include:

  • A range of images that inspire you and you'd like to see incorporated

  • Screenshots of any of my existing designs you like (from this page, the collection or my instagram)

  • Any formatting preferences (e.g. circular vs. square layout)

My email address is rachelle@thedelicatebrush.com

Step 3 - Design and Planning

Now the fun begins!

I will create a sketch and plan. Once we confirm the design plan, I am then able to use your order form to format your text digitally, ready to be printed.

You (and your rabbi) will review the mockup and we will refine it until it’s good to print.

Step 2 - Making it Official

Once we’ve corresponded by email and I have a sense of the design and complexity, I’ll provide a quote.

You’ll then receive a secure payment link, and we’re good to go! At that point, you’ll select your ketubah text and submit your order form here. This is what I’ll use to write the text.

For couples in Israel, the text process is a bit different — you can read more about it here.

IMPORTANT: Please discuss your text with your rabbi before submitting your form. Your rabbi can review the mockup and request changes if needed (no rabbi? No problem!). I prefer to keep all communication directly with the couple to keep things streamlined.

Step 4 - The Painting

Once both the design plan and text are confirmed, I print the text on beautiful 300gsm archival paper in my studio and the painting begins!

I document a lot of this process over on my instagram, including process painting videos on Reels! The art is then shipped via DHL express worldwide.

How does the custom ketubah process work?

Timelin

For custom hand painted designs, I require a minimum of 3 months prior to the wedding. The more, the merrier!

Any less may still be possible, with an additional rush fee of 500NIS and subject to availability, so please get in touch with your wedding date.

Please note: All custom designs are original watercolor or gouache paintings, none of the pieces in the below gallery are available as prints as they were all custom painted to order.

What Couples Say:

"There is simply no where else to look and no one else to work with other than Rachelle and the Delicate Brush when it's time to get your Ketubah. My fiancé and I and our families could not be more happy and blown away with the Ketubah Rachelle custom created and painted for our wedding. We truly believe it is the most beautiful Ketubah we've ever seen and feel so blessed to have found the Delicate Brush. Rachelle could not have been more responsive, proactive and speedy in keeping us up to date, asking questions and getting approvals for info we needed from our Rabbi. Her attention to detail -- from her paint to materials to fonts to her packaging (and shipping speed!) -- is clearly unrivaled. The Delicate Brush is a MUST for your Ketubah. Thank you!"
